George Balabushka was born in Russia on December 9, 1912. He arrived in the United States in 1924 and though his start with wood was in children's toys, he became the premier cue maker of his era. Although, Mr. Balabushka has left this earth in 1975, we have his cues and the stories of his past to remind us of the great individual that he was.
In 1987, Adam Cues met with the family of George Balabushka, universally known as the best cue-maker ever. The family agreed to allow Adam Cues to combine the style and unique ways of George Balabushka with the efforts and experience of our "genius" Richard Helmstetter to bring you a cue line that is second to none. The Balabushka Cue is by far the best selling cue in the industry. In keeping with the style and dignity of Mr. Balabushka, Adam Cues created cues that would reflect his originals that sell upwards in the tens of thousands of dollars. A Balabushka cue was mentioned in the movie "The Color Of Money" starring Paul Newman and Tom Cruise.
